Christmas & Advent
Our Scripture uses over 200 different names for God, including Mother Hen, Lamb of God, Logos (Word) and Emmanuel (God with us). Each of these names shows us more of God’s essence, more of God’s nature, and thus more of what it means to be God’s people.
In these next four weeks of Advent we will prepare our hearts, minds, and souls for Jesus’ arrival of Christmas Day. We will meet Christ again in an exploration of the names of Jesus, hoping that we might become ready to truly bear the best name of all: Christian.
