Our Ministries and Church life
Falmouth Congregational Church UCC connects with the wider community in many ways. We sponsor a Boy Scout and Cub Scout troop and encourage many groups to use our facilities including flu shot and blood drive clinics, larger town meetings, summer camps, community suppers, ContraDance, Fiddle-icious, music groups, and aerobics classes.
We are blessed with a strong church staff that supports our minister, strengthens the bonds that unite our church family, and helps communicate our Christian presence in the community.
We are also blessed with very strong lay leadership who faithfully serve on the Ministries of Worship and Covenant, Facilities, Christian Education, Missions, or the Council of Ministries. We plan our programs to meet the diverse needs of all our church family, from the youngest children to our seniors.
Under the leadership of our Minister of Christian Education, a Kids' Church program engages students in a hands-on approach to learning about the Bible and what it means to be a Christian while utilizing block scheduling and short teaching terms. Dedicated volunteers lead our youth groups, and Confirmation Sunday never fails to be a moving event. Our seniors meet regularly for fun and fellowship. Everyone enjoys well-planned inter-generational events and working together in fund-raising activities such as our Bean Suppers and Annual Holly Days Fair, both well-established traditions in our community.
